Peer Review Process

Every article submitted to Catalyst: Journal of Transformative Education will go through an Initial Review by the Editorial Board. Articles that pass the initial screening will then be sent to qualified peer reviewers and subjected to a Double-Blind Peer Review Process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation. After the review, articles will be returned to the authors for revision if necessary. This entire process takes a maximum of one month. Each manuscript is evaluated by reviewers from both substantial and technical aspects. The peer reviewers collaborating with Catalyst: Journal of Transformative Education are experts in the fields of transformative education, educational innovation, social dynamics, and issues related to Malay societies, including Indonesia. They have extensive experience in reputable national and international journal management and publication.

All submitted manuscripts are first read by the editorial staff. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scope and criteria — which focus on the intersection of educational innovation and contemporary social dynamics — will be rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts deemed to be of potential interest to the readership will be forwarded to double-blind reviewers. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make a final decision from among the following possibilities:

  • Rejected
  • Revision Required (Minor or Major)
  • Accepted

The Editor-in-Chief holds the right to determine which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.
